Extra Care Manager

What will this role of Extra Care Manager entail?

As an Extra Care Manager, you’ll be based at Cae Garnedd in Bangor, North Wales Housing’s third ‘Extra Care’ scheme which is aimed at people who are aged over 55 and who have care and housing needs. Cae Garnedd has 42 exceptional quality apartments and the scheme is focused on providing opportunities for tenants to benefit from an independent and secure lifestyle, backed up by care and support which is flexible and tailored to their individual needs.

You’ll play a key role in delivering a reliable, responsive, and respectful person-centred extra care housing service to tenants. In addition, you’ll continually develop and improve on-site services, and ensure tenants are enabled to maximise their potential as individuals and are able to make choices and feel in control of the services they receive.

What will I need in order to be considered for this Extra Care Manager role?

  • Experience working in an extra care service and / or experience of working with older people
  • Ability to converse and present in Welsh, with some ability to prepare written documentation in Welsh (but may require support)
  • Ability to demonstrate successful delivery of person-centred services
  • Understanding of Health & Safety requirements in a housing or care setting
  • Outstanding aptitude for engaging and working with older people and their families

What will I receive in return?

Salary: £26,975 per annum

Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week. 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
