Supply Chain Manager

Due to business growth, a newly created and highly autonomous leadership role is available for a professional with a wealth of experience in procurement and supply chain management; to take ownership of the development and implementation of a sustainable and responsible inventory procurement, including the management and logistics strategy for our ambitious company.

The Company

Orthios (the group) is dedicated to the creation of the Eco Park business and employment opportunities. Our head office includes a unique team of experts providing service support to its subsidiary Eco Park and Energy Centre based in Holyhead in Anglesey, specialising in sustainable energy, polymer processing, architecture, design and project delivery.

Our site at Holyhead is unique in the region benefitting from excellent road, rail, and sea transport links which are particularly beneficial for the operation. Orthios intends to develop the site as a green energy centre with the potential for introducing a multi-modal hub to serve both the commercial transport and freight markets.

The Supply Chain Manager role

You will be part of an established dynamic and innovative team, and will work closely with our Chief Operations Officer, as you develop and implement a sustainable and responsible inventory procurement, management and logistics strategy, ensuring a steady supply of materials to support operations, and optimum inventory levels whilst preventing corruption and protecting our business.

This is a key role within the business, and one that will see you taking ownership of the management of the supply chain functions, including but not limited to staffing, stores and warehouse configuration, materials ERP management and configuration, materials planning, order placement, shipping and receiving, optimisation of inventory levels, purchase execution and materials cost management.

As you establish and grow the Supply Chain Team, you will foster a culture which leads to a highly motivated and committed workforce, with personal development, effective communication and maintenance of a professional, respectful environment at the core.

What will I need in order to be considered for this Supply Chain Manager vacancy?

  • Proven experience within a manufacturing procurement and supply chain management environment
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, and drive positive behavioural change
  • Good understanding of common contractual issues that arise throughout a commercial project, with the ability to resolve such issues effectively protecting against contractual risk
  • Proven ERP experience
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • IT savvy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Ideally you will be an APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional, or at least have a relevant qualification within procurement or supply chain.

The Package

Working from our site in Holyhead, you will be employed on a permanent contract with full time hours and will receive a salary in the region of £45,000 with the level dependent on experience and qualifications.
