Innovation and Growth Advisor – Multiple opportunities available

You will have a base at our regional office in Anglesey, North Wales, although the majority of your time will be spent working at client sites across multiple locations within the North Wales region.

The team at BIC Innovation are regarded as market leading business consultants delivering a range of support programmes nationwide.

BIC is a delivery partner within an Innovate UK led consortium that has been delivering innovation, growth and internationalisation services since 2015. As part of the UK Government’s range of interventions arising from the Covid-19 pandemic, the consortium has been tasked with delivering a new, highly-targeted initiative to help innovative SME businesses with high growth potential to navigate beyond the crisis and fulfil their potential over the coming years.

In order to deliver upon this initiative throughout North Wales, we have multiple opportunities for Innovation and Growth Advisors to join our team. 

What will this Innovation and Growth Advisor role entail?

As an Innovation and Growth Advisor you will support some of the most ambitious SMEs in North Wales to survive the immediate Covid-19 crisis, and to stabilise and grow, helping companies to benefit from national and global opportunities to become tomorrow’s global success story.

You’ll be capable of being a combination of coach, mentor, critical friend and champion to an exceedingly demanding group of client companies. You will analyse the needs of the business, identify their main challenges, and provide a combination of advice, coaching and mentoring that will help them to manage issues and risks in order to thrive in the future.

What will I need to be considered for this Innovation and Growth Advisor role?

  • Proven experience of working within or supporting and advising innovative, growing SMEs and their senior management teams at various stages of the business life cycle
  • Educated to degree level, ideally in a scientific, engineering or technical discipline
  • Self-motivated with drive and determination to succeed and a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Full UK driving licence along with your own vehicle

Although not essential, the ability to speak Welsh would also be advantageous for this role.

What will I receive in return?

As an Innovation and Growth Advisor, you’ll earn a salary of between £42,000 to £55,000, level dependent on experience, and receive a wide range of benefits including:

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

  • Employee share scheme available

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility may be required to meet business and client needs.
