The Role – Office Manager

As the Office Manager you will undertake a key role supporting the Board and the wider Management Team, managing company administrative processes and identifying areas for improvement, developing existing and introducing new processes and procedures that will enable business scale-up through efficiency. Your remit will be varied and will evolve, to include:

  • Ensuring operations run smoothly and standards remain high through supplier management and review, with the benefit of existing external support spanning; HR, and health and safety; fire and security; waste and cleaning; biomass system, utilities, land and property maintenance
  • Supporting our Food & Beverage Director by maintaining commercial and food safety compliance records in accordance with council regulations
  • Liaising with our Retail Director to assist with management of retail suppliers for company branded products, and stock management
  • Assisting with employee matters, organising training and 1-2-1’s, and ensuring HR records remain up-to-date
  • Ensuring records are maintained for mobile phone allocation, and helping to resolve issues relating to IT and the phone system with suppliers
  • Reporting to the Financial Director and in relation to cost control and matching purchase invoices with purchase orders, checking goods received, and processing
  • Gathering data and preparing management reports on key business information
  • As you progress within the role there will be opportunity to get more involved with financial administration

Our Requirements – Office Manager

  • Experience developing and managing business administrative processes with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of financial software, e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.
  • Exceptional decision-making skills and ability to take ownership of work using own initiative
  • Highly organised with a high level of attention to detail
  • Solutions-focused, with a positive can-do attitude and flexible approach towards tasks
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Highly motivated and ambitious
  • IT savvy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills, with a good standard of numeracy and literacy

The Package

  • Salary in the region of £25,000 to £28,000 with the level based on current skills and experience
  • Permanent contract, working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
  • Flexible working available, with the option to work from home one day per week if you prefer (although you will be required to provider cover in the offices if needed) combined with working from the offices in Holywell
