City & Guilds has joined with WJEC, to become the sole provider of funded childcare qualifications in Wales.

The Role – External Assessor (Childcare Qualifications)

As External Assessor, you will be required to assess and document learner competence against qualification standards, using the stated assessment methods. This will include assessing and documenting learner competency at centres or remotely.

Our Requirements – External Assessor (Childcare Qualifications)

  • Assessor qualification (D32, D33, or A1, or TAQA units)
  • Live in Wales or have good transport connections to Wales

Although not essential, the ability to speak, read and understand written Welsh would be advantageous.

The Package

  • Pay rate approximately £35 per hour
  • Associate contract
  • Where travel to centres is required City & Guilds cover travel expenses (including overnight hotel stays)
  • Full support alongside training / development opportunities
