Engineering Administrator

Oscar Mayer Flint is part of the Oscar Mayer Group, a UK-wide company specialising in manufacturing prepared foods for the top UK grocery retailers such as The Co-Operative, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Aldi. With 300 employees, the Flint Industrial Estate site is a very fast-paced operation, with an impressive 400,000 ready meals being produced each week. 

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Stores Administrator to support our Engineering function.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Engineering Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the following;

  • Developing and maintaining stores stock and booking in and out spare equipment.

  • Keeping accurate records of spares and consumables and re-ordering in a timely fashion to the agreed minimum holding stock levels.

  • Placing orders for services and materials as required using our inhouse system (system 21).

  • Booking in all delivery notes for the Flint site and controlling invoice paperwork.

  • Filing and collating paperwork/records relating to all site legal compliance.

  • Ensuring all scheduled maintenance is requested and carried out as and when required by both internal and external engineers.

  • Assisting in the development of the PPM system.

  • Assisting with all engineering administration.

  • Producing and compiling reports based on information gained from the engineering log sheets, in relation to downtime and trends by line and equipment.

  • Carrying out regular stock checks.

  • Assisting with budget control.

  • Assisting in maintaining the permit to work system.

  • Further duties to be developed over time.

Skills required

  • Punctual and reliable
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Problem solving and using own initiative
  • Must be computer literate and conversant with all Microsoft Office applications.

  • Good communication skills

Hours of work:         Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00

Salary:                       Starting at £9.48 rising to £10.36 per hour, following completion of training.
