Accounts Technician / ACCA Trainee Accountant

The Role – Accounts Technician / ACCA Trainee Accountant

Working within our busy Bangor office, as an Accounts Technician you’ll gain experience and knowledge of the different aspects of the Williams Denton business. You’ll be working with, amongst others, qualified accountants, company directors and customers.

You will be involved with tasks which will include, although not be limited to:

• Producing financial accounts for a wide range of businesses
• Managing, reviewing and preparing VAT, corporation tax and self-assessment returns
• Providing a management accounts service to clients including KPI reviews
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients

You’ll have the option to study towards becoming ACCA qualified, which will be fully funded.

• Permanent contract, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with flexibility required to meet business and client needs
• A salary in the region of £20,000 to £25,000 per annum, with the level dependent on experience and qualifications
• 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising with length of service after 5 years to a maximum of 27 days plus bank holidays

Our Requirements – Accounts Technician / ACCA Trainee Accountant

• AAT qualified (Level 4) and looking to progress a career in accountancy (ideally you will have some experience of working within an accountancy practice)
• Excellent numeracy skills and a high level of attention to detail
• Accurate and timely data entry skills
• Good standard of IT literacy and ability to learn new software and systems
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously
• Superb communication skills both written and verbal

Working knowledge of cloud-based bookkeeping systems such as Xero or Sage would be advantageous.
