Supply Chain Coordinator

The Role – Supply Chain Coordinator

Reporting to the Procurement and Sustainability Manager, you will join the Procurement Department within our Wrexham site in North Wales, where you will oversee and manage the purchasing of raw materials and packaging from agreed contracts for the delivery of the final product ready for manufacture. Your duties will include, although not be limited to:

  • Building relationships with key suppliers to ensure delivery deadlines are met and supporting these relationships with bi-weekly forecasting
  • Assessing and approving suppliers, ensuring all hazards associated with the timely supply of raw materials and packaging have been identified
  • Ensuring all agreed contract schedules have minimum forward contract volumes
  • Working with New Product Development Team on projects including packaging and raw material samples
  • Taking responsibility for the sourcing of first to market material and packaging concepts

Our Requirements – Supply Chain Coordinator

  • Proven experience within a purchasing / supply chain role working with packaging or ingredient suppliers
  • Knowledge of the UK FMCG retail industry
  • A cross-functional team player with the ability to take innovative, holistic decisions based on a wider business perspective
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Highly driven, commercially minded, with solid critical thinking and analytical skills

Although not essential, working knowledge of Sage 200 would be advantageous.

The Package

As Supply Chain Coordinator, you’ll receive:

  • A salary of £24,000 to £30,000 per annum
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Free on-site parking
  • Permanent contract, working 38 hours per week Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and Friday 8am to 2pm with flexibility required during busy periods
