The Role

Moneypenny’s continued success is driven by the large number of clients we welcome on board every year, and as a Sales Development Representative you will be integral to maintaining and increasing this rate of growth, sharing the great ambitions we have for the future of the company.

As Sales Development Representative, you’ll be a natural communicator, adept at building up rapport and developing great relationships with prospects over the phone. You’ll also be able to communicate effectively with all Sector Sales teams and the SME team to ensure our clients have a great customer experience.

Working in a competitive team environment, you’ll thrive on the challenge of generating leads and hitting targets and KPI’s. Your results-focus and proactive approach to search for new ways to find leads and exceed expectations will see you succeed. Of course, it wouldn’t be a sales role without cold calling so resilience is a must.

Your specific duties will include, although will not be limited to:

  • Driving outbound telemarketing sales calls, emails and social media activities to identify prospects
  • Generating and qualifying leads by engaging in conversations to understand their business needs and challenges
  • Overcoming objections and learning from leads which do not progress
  • Scheduling appointments, demos, or meetings for the Sales team
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, product knowledge, and sales techniques
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of potential customers, managing leads in Salesloft and Dynamics, and providing reports on activities and progress

The Package

As a Sales Development Representative working at our award-winning headquarters in Wrexham, you’ll enjoy welcoming, spacious, state-of-the-art offices, plus communal spaces including a treehouse – we like to do things differently around here!

You’ll also benefit from:

  • Permanent contract, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
  • Starting salary £23,500, plus commission with an OTE of £50,000
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Mental health support (Employee Assistance Program) with access to an onsite mental health counsellor
  • Access to our brand-new wellbeing room to help enhance your physical and mental wellbeing
  • Access to a 24/7 Doctor line
  • Comprehensive training and where desired, long-term career progression across the business
  • Subsidised meals
  • Free onsite gym access
  • And did we mention our epic parties? We know how to celebrate in style!

Our Requirements

  • Have a love and passion for sales
  • Experience using the sales engagement platform Salesloft or a similar CRM system
  • Ability to influence the customer through approved sales techniques and going the “extra mile”
  • Commercially driven with a desire to earn a strong commission
  • Results-orientated and resilient, focused on achieving goals and tenacious in your approach
  • Enthusiasm to become a Moneypenny brand ambassador, developing strong product knowledge and understanding of the value our services provide for our clients
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and changing working environment
  • Excellent typing skills and comfortable using all Microsoft Office programs

Although not essential, proven sales / business development experience or similar would be advantageous.
