The Role – Content Writer / Office Administrator (KICKSTART SCHEME)

During the Kickstart Placement you will have the opportunity to shadow a range of business functions such as sales, account management, operations, and marketing, whilst benefiting from on-the-job training with plenty of opportunity to put your learnings into practice.

You’ll be supported by an experienced team who are highly skilled and have a strong work ethic.

You will utilise your natural ability to write compelling digital content, as you will work closely with our Head of Marketing to:

  • Produce relevant content for our core customer (HR professionals and business leaders) including blogs and articles, case studies, social media and email marketing campaigns, all to raise our online profile, drive employers to our website and generate inbound enquiries.
  • Manage and develop multiple social media channels and campaigns, focusing on increasing connections with core customer targets, building engagement with current and new connections, maintaining strong brand presence, managing responses, and identifying commercial opportunities.

Other key tasks and learning opportunities will include publishing job adverts across a range of job sites and undertaking a variety of office administration activities.

About You:

  • Strong content / copy writing skills with an excellent standard of grammar and spelling
  • Positive outlook, enthusiasm to learn and determination to succeed
  • Strong IT proficiency with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Confident and professional manner with exceptional listening and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and flexible towards tasks

Ideally, you will have a marketing or journalism qualification at degree or diploma level.

The Package

You will receive a starting pay rate in line with the National Living Wage and during the 6-month Kickstart Placement will be working 25 hours per week, 12pm until 5.15pm Monday to Friday, with 15 mins unpaid break each day.

You’ll be working from our prestigious offices located on St Asaph Business Park - conveniently located near to the A55.

Either way, we will ensure that by the end of the placement you will have had plenty of opportunity to develop your skills, and we will fully support you to secure long-term employment, with assistance provided on creating an effective CV and helping you to pass interviews with flying colours. 


The Government stipulates that in the first instance, you will need to apply for this vacancy which is part of the Kickstart scheme, via your Job Coach at your local Job Centre.
