What will this role of Planning Consultant entail?
As a Planning Consultant, you will utilise your technical planning knowledge, either gained through your degree studies or proven experience within the sector, to undertake the production of project documents and manage planning schemes to the highest standard in accordance with project timescales in relation to planning applications, planning policy analysis, inputting into planning appeals / public inquiries, and any other planning work as required.
You’ll work on various projects, from planning applications and appeals, to land availability assessments, sustainability appraisals and strategic environmental assessments, and providing other technical planning expertise to projects and proposals.
You’ll play a supporting role in attracting new clients and proposals, engaging in effective planning marketing activities, and co-ordinating and managing sub consultants.
What will I need in order to be considered for this Planning Consultant role?
Although not essential, being a Fully Chartered or Licentiate Member of the RTPI or RICS, or the ability to embark on the path to Chartership would be highly advantageous for this role, as would proven experience within the planning and development sector.
What will I receive in return?
As a Planning Consultant, you’ll receive a salary in the region of £20,000 to £30,000, level dependent on experience and qualifications, although there may be room for negotiation for those with significant experience or Chartered status.
You’ll also receive a range of benefits including pension scheme, annual leave entitlement which grows with length of service and a company performance-based bonus following first year of employment.
You’ll be employed on a permanent, full time contract, and dependent on your preference will be based at either the office in Anglesey or Colwyn Bay. Travel will be required across the region.
