Head of Finance – Option to choose either full or part time hours.

This is a key role within the Management Team of a £10m turnover group of companies, where you’ll take responsibility for establishing a common financial system to support continuous business growth.

The Company

Established since 2004, Pharma Group Holdings Ltd is comprised of three separate businesses operating within the manufacturing and sale of health and wellbeing products for humans and pets and the provision of logistics and fulfilment services for third parties in the Health, Cosmetics and Food sectors.

With a team of approximately 25, our head office is on the Conwy Morfa Enterprise Park but with additional sites at Abergele and Anglesey. Our scope of activity is increasing both through expanding in our core sectors but also via investment in external business opportunities that are synergistic to the group’s growth aspirations.

We are seeking an individual who is capable of introducing and managing a financial structure which provides management with macro and micro analysis of the group’s activity across all areas as the business continues to grow.

What will this role of Head of Finance entail?

As the Head of Finance, you’ll join the Management Team with a main focus on establishing a common financial system across all businesses which will provide a sound decision making platform to support future growth. The company is in the process of selecting an ERP system to replace its current diverse array of systems, so you will be a key player in the successful implementation and management of this system. Your duties will include, although not be limited to:

  • Producing timely and accurate financial information including annual budgets and monthly management accounts
  • Working alongside the Management Team to establish pricing policies
  • Monitoring gross margins, controlling overhead costs and projecting and monitoring cashflow
  • Liaising with external agencies to submit periodic VAT returns, monthly PAYE/NI settlements, annual insurance renewals etc
  • Ensuring all Companies House obligations are met
  • Conducting long term financial strategy planning, including preparing business plans and financial projection reports with the Operations Team

What will I need in order to be considered for this Head of Finance role?

  • Be fully qualified with either CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or ICAEW (or similar), or part qualified with extensive experience in a similar financial management position
  • Familiarity with financial systems, preparing budgets and management accounts, and working knowledge of VAT and PAYE regulations
  • IT literacy, with the ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills
  • Strong reasoning and decision making skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly
  • Highly organised with an appreciation of the importance of forward planning

What will I receive in return?

As the Head of Finance, you’ll receive a salary between £33,000 to £35,000, level dependent on experience and qualifications and not restricted for the right applicant. You’ll also receive 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a pension scheme.

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract, with the option to choose either part time or full time hours dependent on your preference, to be agreed at interview stage.
