Accounts Clerk

Gamlins Law is North Wales’ leading law firm for commercial and personal legal services. Our over 80 strong team operates from 6 offices across the region, and we have recently transformed from being a traditional high street firm into a regional powerhouse.

We see ourselves as trusted advisors to all our corporate and private clients, whether we are preparing a will, buying a home for them, handling a multi-million-pound medical negligence claim or helping them to sell their company.

The Role – Accounts Clerk

Working as part of a small accounts team within our busy office in Rhyl, as the Accounts Clerk you will provide high quality administrative support to the firm and operate at optimum efficiency, using a high degree of self-management and initiative.

Your duties will include although will not be limited to:

  • Entering data and maintaining client ledgers
  • Processing supplier invoices and managing the purchase ledger
  • Managing nominal ledger and petty cash
  • Completing bank reconciliations
  • Preparing and undertaking banking
  • Printing cheques and processing online payments
  • Taking card payments
  • Checking and processing employee expenses
  • Completing month end procedures

Our Requirements – Accounts Clerk

  • Administrative experience working within an accounts environment
  • Excellent numeracy and computer skills
  • Good office administration skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Superb communication skills both verbal and written
  • Confident telephone manner, tactful and diplomatic when under pressure
  • Effective planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and consistently deliver to deadlines, whilst reacting positively to changes and conflicting priorities
  • Effective team working and interpersonal skills

Although not essential, knowledge of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules would be advantageous.
