The Role – Senior IT Analyst (2^nd Line Support Analyst)

As a Senior IT Analyst, you will enjoy a varied and busy role working on a diverse range of projects and support tasks. Not only will you be involved in the general day to day operations of the support desk, which covers our operations in the UK and Europe, but you will also be involved in report writing using MySQL, testing the latest development releases of our internal software and researching and implementing new innovative technologies.

You’ll be part of our fast-moving support department, with duties to include:

• Writing SQL queries to extract data from MySQL databases
• Monitoring emails, tickets and notifications, creating and logging tickets and keeping your tickets up to date in accordance with our service level agreements
• Taking the lead on IT projects and seeing them through to completion
• Handling calls to the helpdesk, working collaboratively to investigate and resolve incidents
• Patch management, back up management and testing
• Training and supporting junior members of the team

Our Requirements – Senior IT Analyst (2^nd Line Support Analyst)

To be considered for this vacancy, you will need experience providing 2nd line IT support, along with the following working knowledge and skills:

• Ability to write database queries in MySQL language
• Microsoft Office 365 administration and support
• Windows Server 2012-2019
• Windows 7/10 administration
• Active directory administration, DNS, DHCP
• Superb communication skills, with excellent spoken and written English

The Package

• Permanent contract with full time hours Monday to Friday, normally 9am to 5pm with some occasional weekend and after hours work required to meet business needs
• Salary in the region of £25,000 to £30,000 with the level dependent on experience
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Due to current Government restrictions, you will be required to work from home initially, and you can continue to do so on a permanent basis if preferrable, with visits to our office in Atherton (Greater Manchester) as required.
