This is a full-time Temporary position where you will work from home and office (Colwyn Bay), in the role of SSF Purchasing and Payments Administrator. You will be part of an important supportive function of the force who are responsible for receiving, prioritising, and responding to requests for goods and services for the Force. You will review invoices and submit for payment, paying close attention to detail and ensuring work is completed in a timely manner. The role also deals with cash services and ensures all records are maintained and updated to a high standard. 

What will I need to be considered for the SSF Purchasing and Payments Administrator?

The role requires applicants who can demonstrate (with evidence) the minimum criteira in the following areas:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent level of qualification in a relevant subject area e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Customer Service, or be able to evidence an equivalent and relevant amount of experience.
  • Possess and be able to evidence excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of using relevant IT systems and software for recording and retrieving information.
  • Be able to work as part of a team or independently using own initiative.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines, responding positively under pressure

North Wales Police are a bilingual organisation and for this role, you’ll need to demonstrate Level 2 Spoken Welsh skills, which means you’re able to give and ask for personal details and basic information; to make simple requests and say a few phrases about yourself in Welsh. Within your first 12 months service you will be required to reach Level 3 Spoken Welsh language skills.
